Role Descriptions
President
The president is all things VEC, essentially any decision is run by the president and they control the club and its assets. They will attend meetings with the faculty and with various professional engineering bodies and endevour to have the club grow and progress.
Vice President
The VP assists the president in running the club. They will attend meetings where the president can not and help with event organisation.
Treasurer
The treasurer will produce a monthly budget, incoming and outgoing and ensure a copy goes the President and VP.
Secretary
Will attend VEC meetings in order to produce minutes for each meeting
Webmaster
Will keep the website up-to-date, this could be by adding new content, removing old content, performing maintenance if the website goes down etc…
VUWSA Rep
Will attend VUWSA meetings to report the clubs interests and keep the club up-to-date on VUWSA’s plans that concern our club. They will also assist the president in receiving grants from VUWSA.
1st Year Rep
Be the goto person for 1st year students as well as performing the duties of general exec members.
2nd Year Rep
Be the goto person for 2nd year students as well as performing the duties of general exec members.
3rd Year Rep
Be the goto person for 3rd year students as well as performing the duties of general exec members.
Events Manager
Manages the creation and organization of events.
General Exec
Will help organize and run events for the club, they will attend full exec meetings and, where applicable, they will be a contact between the club and the outside world.
